Madison College Rainbow Scholarship
Deadline: May 1st
The applicant must self-identify as part of the LGBTQA community or as a straight ally.
For high school graduates new to Madison College, the applicant must have a High School cumulative GPA of at least 2.0, and must be enrolled in 6 or more credits at Madison College for the upcoming semester. Only degree course credits count toward this enrollment requirement. Preference will be given to students enrolled full-time.
For students currently enrolled at Madison College, the applicant must have a Madison College cumulative GPA of at least 2.0, and must be enrolled in 6 or more credits at Madison College for the upcoming semester. Only degree course credits count toward this enrollment requirement. Preference will be given to students enrolled full-time.
The applicant is not receiving other financial support (e.g., full scholarships or full tuition remission) that covers all educational costs (e.g., tuition, fees, and books) for the semester in which the applicant will receive a Rainbow Scholarship.
The applicant must demonstrate evidence of service to the LGBTQA community.
Have participated in UW Health’s Health Occupations and Professions Exploration (HOPE)program.
Have completed an internship at UW Health.or
Have graduated from the Caminos Certified Nursing Assistant Programand
You must be enrolled in 6 or more credits during the upcoming semester
You must be planning to enroll in one of the following degree programs: Associate Degree Nursing, Medical (Clinical) Laboratory Technician, Nursing Completion, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Physical Therapy Assistant, Radiography, Respiratory Therapist, Medical Assistant, Medical Coding Specialist, Nursing Assistant, Optomtetric Technician, Surgical Technologist, Clinical Ophthalmic Assistant, Mammography, Phlebotomy, Polysomnography or Liberal Arts Transfer ProgramYou may also apply for this scholarship if you are a UW Health employee in the Industrial Maintenance Technician program.
You must be enrolled in 6 or more credits for the Fall 2019 semester
You must have a 2.0 GPA or higher (if you are a new student you must upload a high school transcript)
You must be enrolled in the Agricultural Equipment, Industrial Electrician Apprentice, Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, Industrial Maintenance Technician, Industrial Mechanic – HVAC, Machine Tool Operations, Machine Tooling Technics or Mechanical Design Technology program
Preference given to newly graduated students from a high school in Madison College’s 12 county district.
