Madison College Retirees Association
The Madison College Retirees Association was founded in 1999 and helps you remain connected to the college and your colleagues while enjoying the freedom and independence of retirement.
Once you join, you are invited to gather with us regularly. An annual breakfast get-together is held in September. Then, on the first Monday of the month from September-May you’ll find our retirees gathering for coffee and treats, conversation and great programs. Programs have ranged from travel tips to insurance choices to reports from innovative college staff. Each year we plan at least one longer excursion to the Chicago Art Institute or a Mississippi river boat for example. There was even an adventure to Thailand to visit host/retiree/guide Glen Boda in Bangkok. You are welcome to bring a friend to the coffees. It’s a good way to keep in touch with people and a place that have meant so much to all of us.
Other opportunities for you include volunteering, joining other travel adventures, and free parking in the gated visitor lot.
Communications include a newsletter sent out twice a year by both mail and email and the Retirees Listserv.
Membership is just $25 a year. A membership form can be found at the end of the newsletter.
