Employee Giving

As a Madison College employee, you can give a set amount per paycheck to one of the Madison College Foundation’s funds. This includes scholarships, emergency grants, and student support.

You can make a difference in the lives of students through donations to the Madison College Foundation. Your support means supporting someone’s chance to realize their dream of higher education. Every gift to the Foundation is an investment in the future and impacts our students and community.

What Motivates Madison College Employees to Give?

This month we took the opportunity to interview three Madison College Foundation donors who work with students at the College. They are Shawna Carter, who is Madison College Vice President for Academic Affairs; Rhoda McKinney, Adult Recruiter; and Bill Bedker, teacher in the school of Human & Protective Services in the Legal Studies/Paralegal and Criminal Justice programs. All are long-time employees who work directly with our students -- Shawna for 20 years, Rhoda for over 24 years, and Bill for 25 years. Art Exhibit Honoring Longtime Academic Advisor

Dzigbodi Akyea was a student advisor at Madison College for seventeen years, most recently in the liberal arts transfer program. She was a calming presence, and many people went to her for advice. She had the gift of making people laugh, and was greatly respected among her peers. Unfortunately, Dzigbodi passed away quite suddenly last September 17, 2021 leaving those who worked with her in shock and grief.
