Roughly 35% of Madison College students are food insecure. The Cupboard is working hard to address that need. The Truax Campus Food Pantry is located in the Health Education Building Room 122 and is open to all students with a valid OneCard who are currently enrolled in at least one degree credit course. The food pantry is well-stocked with non-perishable items bought through Second Harvest. Students enrolled in Scholars of Promise and the Madison College baseball team have all volunteered at the Cupboard. Occupational Therapy Students do meal preps, educate students on healthy eating and develop recipes. Since its opening in September, more than 300 students have visited the Cupboard!
The Cupboard Hours are:
Tuesdays from noon – 2 p.m.
Wednesdays from 9 – 11 a.m.
