Anne Flaten Scholarship Fund

This scholarship was established in 2014 by friends and colleagues to honor the legacy of Anne Flaten, a long-time and well-respected respiratory therapist in the Madison community. Anne spent her entire 32-year career as a Respiratory Therapist at University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics (UWHC). Anne was devoted to the field of respiratory care and truly understood the value of education. Once she graduated from the Madison Area Technical College Respiratory Therapy program, she continued to further her education, obtaining her MBA and, eventually becoming the Director of the Respiratory Therapy Department at UWHC. Another of Anne’s great accomplishments was proudly serving as the president of the Wisconsin Society for Respiratory Care. The distinguished Anne Flaten scholarship was established to award funds to a current Respiratory Therapy student who is passionate about health care and making a positive difference in the lives of others.
