When you invest in Madison College, you invest in people. Meet a proud Madison College alumnus and donor.

Robin Roberts is one of the most involved and generous alumni in the College’s history. An alumnus of the Architectural Technology program, he founded Roberts Construction Associates in 1981, a construction firm that won numerous awards for innovation, and quality. His industry colleagues have also described him as a person of integrity and dependability. He played baseball at Madison Area Technical College from 1973-1975 and won numerous awards, eventually being named to the Madison College Athletic Hall of Fame.

Of his college years, Robin Says, “my time at MATC was well spent, both in the classroom and on the ball field. I am interested in helping the college maintain its outstanding baseball tradition.”

He was a founding member and president of the On Deck Club, the baseball booster organization. Robin’s financial contributions as well as in-kind contributions of materials and labor resulted in a stadium built with minimal cost to Madison Area Technical College district taxpayers. Robin Roberts Field was a key element in the baseball program’s elevation from Division III to Division II in the National Junior Collegiate Athletic Association. The Wisconsin Technical College District Boards Association recognized him with its Distinguished Alumni Award in 2004. Robin continues to serve as a key volunteer as a member of the Madison College Foundation board and chair of the Foundation Governance Committee.
